1790 survey locating Fort on the property of Rush Tucker, 1,000 acres know as Charlotteville. Tucker was most likely an English Loyalist who fled the Carolinas after the American Revolution. He would have received the land as a grant from King George. An

Rush Tucker, an English Privateer, is listed as a property owner. Some of his descendants include the Carroll Family, who now live on Paradise Island.
